Who are we?

Couple Counselling for All was set up by Rachella Michaels in 2020 after moving to Salisbury from London, where she had run a popular and successful Counselling and Psychotherapy practice, working with couples and individuals, for several years.

At “Couple Counselling for All” Rachella has set up an online as well as face-to-face couple counselling service, operating from her centre in Quidhampton Salisbury. During the pandemic only online services are available.

Accredited by UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and Middlesex University, with an MA in Psychotherapy, and Completion of an Externship and Advanced Skills Training Program in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Rachella has more than 24 years’ experience of working with couples and individuals and is a fully qualified psychotherapist.

She specialises in using Emotion-Focused Therapy when working with couples, and her numerous and wide-ranging trainings enable her to help couples and individuals explore issues, resolve the aftermath of traumatic experiences, and build a stronger, more resilient emotional framework within which to live their lives and relationships.

An extremely sensitive listener, her focused approach creates a safe, empathic space where concerns can be raised and emotions expressed, and where partners can find opportunities to reconnect. She is particularly skilled at recognising underlying anxieties and allowing them to be safely explored and dispelled.

She encourages couples to work at their own pace without pressure, to voice difficulties, and express their needs, hopes and desires without fear of judgement.

With increased awareness of themselves and each other, she helps couples learn how to interact more creatively, effectively and with compassion. Bridges can be built, communications improved, and a loving relationship restored.
